Our Pupils
Our children can be involved in various leadership roles that develop social skills, problem-solving, perseverance, responsibility and independence.
Prefects
Year 6 children can apply to help with the running of school in their role as prefects. They complete an application form and are called to interview with a member of the Leadership Group. Roles and responsibilities include guiding visitors and parents around the school, delivering messages, supporting the lunchtime supervisors, helping in assemblies and organising resources.
“I like having the responsibility of being a prefect.”

BGPS Parliament
Members of Parliament are elected by their classmates. They range from Years 2 to 6 and play an important part in our school life. They meet regularly and bring ideas from their class to discuss then decide together which to action to make improvements to school.
“I like being a Member of Parliament as I am a good listener.”

“I like to support our Bordesley Green Community.”

Librarians
Librarians open the library at the start of the day so many children have an extra opportunity to exchange their book. They keep the library organised and tidy as well as supporting younger children choosing appropriate reading materials.
“I enjoy helping others and making a difference.”
