Following on from yesterdays video where we learnt the vocab tall & short today, we are going to practising ordering things from the tallest to the shortest. Get your family members ready as you will need them for this activity. Looking at the people who live in your house can you order them from the tallest to the shortest? Look at each person in your house and pick who you think is the tallest, now pick another family member are they taller or shorter? You can measure your family members by making them stand back-to-back. When you think you have finished, check the order to make sure the tallest person is first and the shortest is last.

Take a photo of your family in order tallest to shortest and email it to Reception@bordsgrn.bham.sch.uk If you do not want to take a photo you can always send us a picture that you have drawn of your family in order tallest to shortest.

Session 5Gingerbread Man Button Sheet 1   Gingerbread Man Button Sheet 2

Below are two sheets with various gingerbread men standing next to various numbers, make sure you look at the number first, say the number and then have a go at drawing the correct number of buttons to match. Don’t worry if the buttons don’t all fit in a straight line and if you need help don’t forget to ask your adult.

With an adult discuss how old you are and when your birthday is. How old will you be on your next birthday? Do you know? You will be one year older you will be one more than the number you are now.

Today we would like you to draw a birthday cake with the correct number of candles to show the age you are now. Once you have done that draw a second birthday cake and on this birthday cake draw the correct number of candles to show how old you will be on your next birthday.

For example if I was 7 on my first birthday cake there would be 7 candles and on the next birthday cake there would be 8 birthday cake.

If you have forgotten some of the words Miss Dunn used, we have attached some picture cards to help you can use these to remind you of the vocab or just describe where the fox is in each picture if you prefer. Fox preposition sheet

Session 3 - Hide and seek preposition

Today we would like you to play the game hide and seek. You can do this with a toy or with your siblings. First count to 20 and get an adult or your sibling to hide or they can hide a toy. Then go and find them. When you find them using the prepositions we have learnt describe where they are hiding. For example, they are under the table. Do this a couple of times using the different words to describe where the toy or person is hiding.
