    If you would like to share any of the work you have been doing at home with your teacher, you can send it to this email address. A teacher will discuss this with you as part of your regular phone calls.

    English

    Lesson 1

    For children to be able to read and write they need to be able to listen to and hear different sounds. This power point encourages children to think about what sounds different things make and have a go at making them. Go through the power point and have a go at completing the tasks.

    Phase 1 Phonics Morning Starter Activities

    Lesson 2

    At school we will be teaching children the alphabet through phonics. This is the phonetic sounds. To start with we will be looking at the letter S. Watch the video and practice saying the sound ( jolly phonics s)

    Now watch the video your teacher has made practising saying the sound and looking at objects that start with the letter S.

    At home have a go at writing the sound and finding objects or drawing pictures that start with the sound S.

    Maths

    Lesson 1:

    Watch the Video of Miss Dunn counting on her fingers and have a go at joining in at home. Then singalong to 5 little ducks with Miss Dunn.

    Practise counting on your fingers at home – Use your fingers and don’t forget to count all the way to 20.

    Lesson 2:

    Watch the video of Mrs Hughes counting objects 1:1. Count along with her and join in.

    Now go and gather some objects at home, put them in a line and count them 1:1. Practise this skill at home.

    Lesson 3:

    Watch the video of Miss Mcleod counting using actions. Join in at home.

    Now try with numbers higher then 5, if you are feeling confident have a go at writing the number to match your actions.
